The Fulltangbauweise of 1095 carbon steel blade and extremely abrasion resistant, black powder coating in combination with the high quality canvas Micartabeschalung characterize the ideal outdoor knives as tools. Specifically for civilian adventure, survival and outdoor use, the models of the RAT in cooperation with the organization of professional educators, Randall's Adventure Training have been developed. The models in the series and TAK RTAK aimed specifically at professional users from the military and police. The TAK knives have a Cordura sheath with a puncture protection, the RAT 3 series have a functional Zytel sheath and the model of the RAT 5 series also has a Cordura sheath with puncture protection and a small front pocket.
